Jan. 5, 2026 - Welcome to The Pulse. The Pulse is the official print magazine distributed at the annual Paper Meets LIVE! business convention held in Clearwater Beach, Florida. The event is co-hosted by the American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) and the National Paper Trade Association (NPTA).
The Pulse (formerly known as the Convention Daily) is published by O'Brien Publications — also the publisher of PaperAge. O'Brien Publications has published the Convention Daily, now The Pulse, since 2003.
The Pulse is a large format (12" x 16") publication that is distributed to all registered attendees of Paper Meets LIVE!. The publication includes a schedule of events, editorial content from AF&PA and NPTA, paper industry news from manufacturers, distributors and converters, market insight reports, people on the move, and much more.
With that said, advertisements in The Pulse reach virtually every segment of the pulp and paper supply chain — producers, converters, distributors, importers/exporters, logistics (warehousing, transportation, distribution, etc.). To be a bit more intriguing, the people in attendance at Paper Meets LIVE! are C-level buyers, sellers and service providers with purchasing authority.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Paper Meets LIVE! 2026 will take place May 12-14 at the Opal Sands Resort in Clearwater Beach. The new springtime schedule is a permanent change from the event's former fall schedule.
