Nov. 6, 2026 - Metsä Board has started change negotiations concerning possible temporary layoffs at the company's Joutseno and Kaskinen pulp mills, which produce bleached chemi-thermomechanical pulp (BCTMP). The mills are located in Finland.
The change negotiations will cover approximately 120 employees in total and are expected to last three weeks.

The possible temporary layoffs could last for more than 90 days and could be implemented in several periods during 2027, Metsä Board said.
The negotiations are intended to prepare for a possible temporary adjustment of production to match demand. The allocation, extent and timing of any possible temporary layoffs would be specified during 2027.
