Jukka Flinkman
Nov. 4, 2026 - Metsä Fibre has appointed Jukka Flinkman as VP, Mill Manager of the Äänekoski bioproduct mill in Finland as of 1 March 2027.
Flinkman will join Metsä Fibre from UPM, where he has served as Director, Operations at the Rauma paper mill, with overall responsibility for the mill's operations. Previously, he worked as Production Manager at UPM's Kymi pulp mill. He has extensive experience in production management in both the pulp and paper industries.
Janne Rantanen, the current VP, Mill Manager of the Äänekoski mill, has decided to continue his career outside Metsä Group.
During the transition period from 14 November 2026 to 28 February 2027, Antti Eskola will serve as interim Mill Manager of the Äänekoski mill.
The Mill Manager reports to Metsä Fibre's SVP, Pulp Production Timo Ahonen.
Metsä Fibre, part of Metsä Group, is a leading producer of wood-based bioproducts, such as pulp, sawn timber, biochemicals and?bioenergy. The company produces pulp and bioproducts at four mills and sawn timber products at four sawmills in Finland.
