Fedrigoni CEO Marco Nespolo to Step Down, Rolf Stangl Named Executive Chairman

Sept. 25, 2026 - Fedrigoni S.p.A. (together with its subsidiaries, the "Group") announced that Marco Nespolo is stepping down from his role as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, effective as of October 6, to pursue other opportunities. He will maintain his equity investment in the Group, and he will continue to support the Shareholders and the management team as a Board member.

Nespolo has served as CEO for nearly eight years and has played a key role in engineering and leading the transformation of the Group, strengthening its market position and driving its significant international growth, both organically and through several acquisitions. The Board of Directors of Fedrigoni expresses its sincere appreciation for his leadership, commitment, and contribution to the Group's development over the years, and for his continued support as a Board member.

Fedrigoni's Board has appointed Rolf Stangl as Executive Chairman, effective October 6. Stangl brings more than two decades of leadership experience in the global packaging industry, as well as extensive executive and board experience across both private equity-backed and publicly listed companies. He served as CEO of Swiss-listed packaging company SIG Group AG from 2008 to 2020.

Most recently, Stangl served as a Senior Advisor to Apollo Global Management and is Non-Executive Chairman of NASDAQ-listed Reynolds Consumer Products and a non-executive board member of The Family Office Co.

The Board is confident that Stangl's extensive industry expertise, proven leadership track record and strategic perspective will provide valuable support to the Group's management team and contribute to the continued execution of Fedrigoni's strategy and long-term sustainable and profitable growth.

Founded in Verona, Italy, in 1888, Fedrigoni is a manufacturer of specialty papers for luxury packaging and premium wine labels, such as self-adhesive materials, fine arts and drawing papers with the Fabriano brand, and RFID inlays. With nearly 6,000 people across 28 countries and 73 facilities including production plants, slitting and distribution centers, the Group sells and distributes more than 25,000 products in 132 countries.
