Andreas Mattsson
July 7, 2026 - Essity has appointed Andreas Mattsson as the new Chief Legal Officer and member of the company's Executive Management Team. He succeeds Mikael Schmidt who has decided to retire as of December 31, 2026.
Mattsson comes from the role of General Counsel at Billerud, where he has served since 2013. Prior to that, he has extensive experience from the Law firm Cederquist.
Mattsson will take office on January 1, 2027, and will also be responsible for compliance and risk management at Essity.
