Jackson Paper and Sustainable Corrugated Combine to Form New Identity

Sustainable Corrugated & Containerboard The new name reflects how the two long-affiliated businesses already operate as one integrated paper and packaging manufacturer serving corrugated-sheet customers across the Southeast and containerboard customers throughout North America.

June 16, 2026 - Jackson Paper Manufacturing and Sustainable Corrugated announced they are unifying under a single identity: Sustainable Corrugated & Containerboard (SCC).

The companies have long operated under common ownership and shared leadership, and the combination brings together Jackson Paper's recycled containerboard mill in Sylva, North Carolina, with Sustainable Corrugated's sheet-feeding operations in Morganton, North Carolina and Dalton, Georgia.

According to the companies, the new name reflects how the two long-affiliated businesses already operate as one integrated paper and packaging manufacturer serving corrugated-sheet customers across the Southeast and containerboard customers throughout North America.

"This rebrand reflects who we already are — one team, one integrated company, and one shared commitment to our customers," said Bobby Hunter, President, Corrugated. "By bringing our paper and packaging operations together under the Sustainable Corrugated & Containerboard name, we are better positioned to represent the strength of our vertically integrated capabilities and continue investing in the future of sustainable packaging."

Day-to-day operations, customer relationships, ordering, and product quality will remain unchanged, Jackson Paper noted.

Sustainable Corrugated & Containerboard will continue emphasizing sustainability throughout its operations. The company produces 100% recycled medium, operates a closed-loop cooling system with zero wastewater discharge, utilizes a wood-fired boiler and steam turbine system, and maintains FSC® and SFI® certifications. SCC also offers the capability to produce 100% recycled corrugated sheets for customers seeking environmentally responsible packaging solutions.

"Our customers have always known us for quality, reliability, and responsiveness," said Matt Gilles, Chief Commercial Officer at Jackson Paper. "Independence and integration are real advantages for our customers. From recycled fiber to corrugated sheet, decisions are made under one roof. Now, our brand more accurately reflects the integrated, independent paper and packaging company we've become."
