Suzano to Hike Price for Hardwood Pulp in Europe and the Americas

Suzano

April 27, 2026 - Suzano has announced a $50-per-ton increase in price for its hardwood pulp (eucalyptus) for customers in Europe and the Americas, effective May. In Europe, the adjustment brings prices to $1,430 per ton, according to the company.

The latest move follows a similar increase announced in March, when Suzano also raised prices by $50 per ton in the same regions and implemented a $20-per-ton increase for customers in China and other Asian markets.

According to industry news reports, Suzano has been able to implement successive price hikes since late 2025, supported by favorable market dynamics. Supply-side disruptions have played a key role, particularly in the first quarter of 2026.

Suzano is the largest hardwood pulp producer in the world, operating eight pulp mills in Brazil with a combined production capacity of 13.5 million tons per year of pulp. Based in Brazil, the company also produces paper and tissue.
