ICT UK has Started-up New Tissue Machine at Greenfield Mill in Deeside, UK

March 16, 2026 - ICT UK recently announced the start-up of a new tissue machine at its greenfield mill in Deeside, North Wales, United Kingdom.

The start-up of the new machine marks an important milestone in the company's growth and further strengthens its presence in the UK market.

In recent months, the Deeside plant had already begun operation of tissue converting lines and its new automated warehouse.

In a press release, ICT said, "With the start-up of the paper machine, the plant now completes the integration of the production cycle, enabling greater flexibility and integrated management from paper production to converting and through to finished product logistics."

In May of 2021, ICT announced plans to build the new 700,000 sq. ft. production plant in Deeside. At that time, the Welsh Government provided GBP 5 million towards the project, which followed a GBP 10 million investment in the Northern Gateway a few months earlier.

ICT did not disclose the total investment of the mill project not the production capacity of the new machine.
