Palm Group Acquires 50% Stake in Power Packaging in the Czech Republic

Palm Group corrugated cardboard Power Packaging specializes in the production of complex corrugated cardboard packaging.

Dec. 2, 2025 - German paper and packaging producer Palm Group in November acquired a 50 percent stake in Power Packaging s.r.o., which consists of on production plant located in Nýrsko in western Czech Republic.

Power Packaging specializes in the production of complex corrugated cardboard packaging and generates annual revenues of approximately EUR 4 million.

According to Palm, the joint venture is strategically expanding its packaging division in the area of complex and customized corrugated packaging, which involves a high proportion of manual work. Furthermore, the involvement of Palm ensures that Power Packaging will remain a family-owned business in the long term, sharing the same mindset and business principles.

"Through this joint venture, we are strengthening our position in the European market for complex packaging solutions and will be able to offer our customers an even broader product range in future," said Dr. Marina Palm, CEO of Palm.

Power Packaging will continue to operate successfully within its existing structure and with the same management team.

Ralph Wakolbinger, Managing Director of Power Packaging, said, "By partnering with Palm, we have gained a strategically important partner who shares our goals and supports us in successfully developing major international projects, including those in the East."

Based in Aalen, Germany, the Palm Group is comprised of Papierfabrik Palm with its five paper mills; Palm Packaging Group with 33 plants; and Palm Recycling, which purchases and collects recovered paper for reuse in company's paper mills.
