Sept. 19, 2025 - Bellmer GmbH, a leading international supplier of paper and board machinery, announced the acquisition of Cellwood Machinery AB, a manufacturer of systems for wastepaper recycling and bioenergy pre-treatment based in Sweden.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to Bellmer, the acquisition was agreed upon in mid-September following a structured process.
"This acquisition aligns perfectly with our vision to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions to the paper industry," said Martin Kollmar, President of Bellmer. "We are excited to welcome Cellwood's expertise and commitment into our group."
The former owners of Cellwood selected Bellmer due to the strong alignment between both family-owned companies and their shared long-term strategic outlook.
"We are proud to become part of the Bellmer Group," said Henrik Lefvert, Managing Director of Cellwood Machinery. "Bellmer's values and long-term perspective mirror our own, and we are confident that this partnership will bring new opportunities for our customers and employees worldwide."
Cellwood's product and brand portfolio includes Metrans, known for its conveying and handling solutions, the Grubbens Pulper, and the Algas Microfilter.
In addition, Cellwood has a state-of-the-art pilot plant located at the site of its headquarters in Nässjö, Sweden, which is available for customer trials and training.
Cellwood Machinery will also strengthen Bellmer's international presence through its subsidiaries in Germany, Canada, and China, and through service and sales professionals in Vietnam and India.
The closing of the transaction is expected by the end of October.
Founded in Germany in 1842, Bellmer is an international mechanical engineering company that designs, manufactures and implements machines in two divisions: a Paper Technology division that focuses on packaging paper and board machines, and a Separation Technology division that focuses on water and sludge treatment solutions.
