Kemira Appoints Antti Salminen as President and CEO

Dec. 21, 2023 - Kemira has appointed Antti Salminen as President and CEO, effective February 12, 2024. Petri Castrén will continue as the Interim President and CEO until that date, after which he will continue as the CFO of Kemira.

Salminen has held several leadership positions in Kemira, most recently as President, Pulp & Paper segment. Prior to that he served as President, Industry & Water segment.

Salminen has been a member of Kemira's Management Board since 2011. He has a PhD in engineering.

Matti Kähkönen, the Chair of the Board of Kemira, stated, "Antti Salminen has a solid track record in leading transformation and growth in his previous positions. He knows Kemira, the chemical sector, and understands customers', employees' and other stakeholders' expectations. He has an excellent basis to continue the value creation for Kemira's shareholders. I wish Antti all the best in his new role."
