Nordic Paper Temporarily Stops Production at Greaker Mill Due to High Electricity Costs in Norway

Nordic Paper

Aug. 30, 2022 - Nordic Paper said that it has decided to stop production for three days at its Greaker paper mill in Norway due to the current high daily price for electricity.

The company said the production downtime will have a marginal financial impact on its third quarter results.

The plant is part of the segment Natural Greaseproof and corresponds to about half of the production capacity in the segment.

Nordic Paper is a leading specialty paper producer with its base in Scandinavia. The company operates five paper mills — four in Scandinavia and one in Canada — and produces kraft papers and natural greaseproof papers. To learn more, visit: www.nordic-paper.com.
