Liberty Packaging Acquires Dallas Container Corporation

Dallas Container Dallas Container has approximately 100 employees and is a strong player in the corrugated packaging market in Dallas, Amarillo (Texas) and beyond.

Nov. 16, 2021 - Liberty Diversified International (LDI) announced the acquisition of Dallas Container Corporation. The company also does business as Amarillo Custom Box Company. The acquisition marks the accelerating growth of the Liberty Packaging business unit in the LDI family of companies.

As both companies are privately held, purchase price was not disclosed.

Dallas Container has approximately 100 employees and is a strong player in the corrugated packaging market in Dallas, Amarillo (Texas) and beyond. The company has manufactured corrugated boxes, die cuts, displays (POP) and foam packaging since 1977.

Liberty Packaging is a nationally recognized designer and manufacturer of corrugated packaging containers and point-of-purchase displays.

The Dallas Container and Amarillo Custom Box employees will become part of the Liberty Packaging team.

According to Mike Fiterman, LDI's Chairman and CEO, "Our customers will find that Dallas Container Corp. is an excellent fit into our packaging business portfolio in the southern U.S."

Fiterman said Dallas Container Corp. and its brands will become part of LDI's Liberty Packaging group, South Region. He said existing management will continue to play key roles in the company. Dallas Container owner, Rod Turnipseed, will serve in an ambassador role with the company and his daughter, Tami Cullen, will continue in a key role with Liberty Packaging Dallas.
