Suzano Names Cristina Gil White as Its New Executive Officer of Sustainability

Oct. 13, 2021 - Suzano announced that Cristina Gil White has joined the company as Executive Officer of Sustainability.

Pablo Machado, who currently serves as interim Executive Officer of Sustainability, will work with Ms. Gil White during a transitional period after which he will remain as Suzano's Executive Officer of Business China.

Ms. Gil White holds an undergraduate teaching degree in Chemistry from the Universidad de las Américas-Puebla and a Master's in Environmental Studies from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. She worked at The Nature Conservancy, RARE Conservation and World Education and Development Fund in the United States, and in recent years held the position of Vice President of Sustainability in New York at Orbia Advance Corporation.

Based in São Paulo, Brazil, Suzano is one of the world's largest integrated pulp and paper producers. With ten mills and the joint operation Veracel, the company has an annual installed capacity of 10.9 million tons of market pulp and 1.4 million tons of paper.
