Södra to Increase the Price of NBSK in Europe to USD 1,220 per Tonne

March 17, 2021 - Södra Cell announced that it will be increasing the price of its northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp in Europe to $1,220, effective 1 April 2021.

"The global NBSK market is very tight, and in Europe a robust demand is outpacing supply," said Henrik Wettergren, VP Marketing and Sales, Södra Cell. "This announcement reflects the overall market sentiment."

Södra Cell's latest price announcement is a $260/tonne jump from the $960/tonne price it set for its NBSK pulp in Europe on Jan. 1, 2021.

On Oct. 1, 2020, Södra's listed price for NBSK pulp in Europe was $880/tonne.
