Oct. 13, 2020 - New-Indy JV Corp. announced that it has reached an agreement with Georgia-Pacific to acquire Southern California-based Reliable Container. The acquisition includes converting plants in Santa Fe Springs, California, and Tijuana, Mexico.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Georgia-Pacific acquired Reliable Container in June of 2016.

Established in 1979, Reliable Container serves a broad range of customers and offers a variety of custom corrugated containers and point-of-purchase displays.

These converting facilities align very well with the strategic integration of New-Indy Containerboard's mill assets."

New-Indy expects the transaction to close mid-October.

New-Indy is a joint-venture that was formed in 2012 by the Kraft Group and Schwarz Partners, LP.
