Valmet to Supply Aktül Kagit with New Tissue Production Line in Turkey

Valmet Advantage DCT 200 tissue machine With a width of 5.6 metres and a design speed of 2,200 m/min, the new machine will add 70,000 tons per year of tissue production to Aktül Kagit's current capacity of 140,000 tpy.

March 29, 2021 - Valmet will supply Aktül Kagit Üretim Pazarlama with a tissue production line including stock preparation, automation system and a Focus rewinder. The new Advantage DCT 200 tissue machine will be installed at the company's mill in Pamukova, Sakarya Province in Turkey.

Valmet has previously supplied Aktül Kagit's mill with two Advantage DCT 200TS tissue lines, started up in 2011 and 2016.

Engineering, installation supervision, training, start-up and commissioning are also included in the scope of supply.

In addition, the delivery will include Valmet DNA Automation System and Valmet IQ Quality Control System with online softness and creping measurement.

With a width of 5.6 metres and a design speed of 2,200 m/min, the new line will add 70,000 tons per year of high-quality facial, handkerchief, toilet and towel grades to Aktül Kagit's current production. The raw material for the new line will be virgin fiber.

Start-up of the new machine is planned for the second quarter 2022.
