Total U.S. Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Shipments Increased Nine Percent in November 2020

Dec. 16, 2020 - The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released its November 2020 Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Monthly report. According to the report, total Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging shipments in November increased nine percent compared to November 2019. They were up four percent when compared to the same 11 months of 2019.

The operating rate was 85.5 percent, up 1.0 points from November 2019 and essentially flat (-0.3 pts.) year-to-date.

Mill inventories at the end of November remained essentially flat (-514 short tons) from the previous month and were up 13,000 short tons compared to November 2019.
