Nov. 2, 2020 - Sappi Europe today announced that it will increase pricing for its range of fine paper products by 5 - 8% for overseas markets.

The price increases will be applied to shipments as of January 2021 at the latest.

In a written statement, Sappi said, "The decrease in consumption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic has triggered strong pressure on prices. In combination with cost increases in paper production and transport this has led to unsustainable profitability levels, especially felt in our overseas markets."
