Nippon Paper Papylia to Increase Prices for Certain Grades of Specialty Papers
Dec. 26, 2018 - Nippon Paper Papylia Co., Ltd., part of the Nippon Paper Group, has announced that it will increase prices by at least 10% for its lines of thin printing paper, back carbon copying paper and processing base paper. The price adjustments will be effective with shipments as of February 1, 2019.
The company said that despite measures it has taken to counter the rising prices of raw materials, fuels, and logistic costs, "it is difficult to secure reproducible profit through our independent efforts alone."
