Total U.S. Packaging Papers Shipments Up 5.7 Percent in July 2018
In July, Bag & Sack shipments were up 2.5 percent year-to-date.
Aug. 15, 2018 - The American Forest & Paper Association released its July 2018 U.S. Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Monthly report, According to the report, total Packaging Papers shipments were up 5.7 percent compared to July 2017 and up 1.3 percent year-to-date.
- Bag & Sack shipments were up 2.5 percent year-to-date
- Multiwall shipments were down 0.9 percent
- Converting shipments were essentially flat
- Food Wrapping shipments were up 3.1 percent.
The operating rate for July increased slightly from 95.8 percent in June to 95.9 percent in July. Inventories were up 1.7 percent since June.
