Recard to Supply Papelera Internacional with New Tissue Production Line in Guatemala

Sept. 29, 2017 Recard announced that it will supply Papelera Internacional, SA (PAINSA) with a new tissue paper production line in Guatemala in Central America. PAINSA is part of GrandBay Paper and Care Products Corp., a Latin-American consortium.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Recard said the new machine will have a drying capacity of 120 tons per day and a maximum speed of 2000 meters per minute. It will produce tissue for products such as toilet rolls, table napkins, facial tissue, kitchen towels.

The machine will have the capability to run on 100% virgin fiber or 100% secondary fiber, Recard added.

Recard will supply a turnkey service that includes 3 pulp preparation lines for long fibers, short fibers and broke, approach flow system, related ancillary equipment and complete mechanical and electrical assembly.

Start-up of the new machine is expected in mid-October 2018.
