Fibria Produces First Eucalyptus Pulp Bale on New Production Line at Tres Lagoas Mill

August 28, 2017 - Fibria said that the first bleached eucalyptus pulp bale at its new pulp production line in Três Lagoas (Brazil) was produced on August 26, 2017, and therefore successfully concluded the production cycle.

The new pulp line officially started operations on Aug. 23.

According to Fibria, the pulp produced has Forest Stewardship Counsel (certificate number FSC-C104120) and Cerflor/PEFC.

Fibria said that its suppliers and other business partners of the Horizonte 2 Project will work together in the ramp-up period that has initiated, aiming to execute the proper learning curve, as planned.

Fibria is a world leader in eucalyptus pulp production with an annual pulp production capacity of 5.3 million tons. The Brazilian company has industrial units in the cities of Aracruz (Espírito Santo), Jacareí (São Paulo) and Três Lagoas (Mato Grosso do Sul), and in Eunápolis (Bahia), where it operates the Veracel plant through a joint venture with Stora Enso.
