Södra Appoints Catrin Gustavsson as Head of Innovation and New Business
June 1, 2017 - Södra has appointed Catrin Gustavsson as Head of Innovation and New Business. She will succeed Laila Rogestedt and assume her new position on 1 August. Gustavsson will be a member of Group Senior Management and report to the President and CEO, Lars Idermark.
Catrin Gustavsson (46) holds a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, and a PhD degree in pulp technology from the Royal Institute of Technology. She is currently head of the process engineering department at Södra's pulp mill at Värö, outside Varberg.
Gustavsson has been active in the paper and pulp industry since 1999 – both nationally and internationally – and held senior positions in production and technology development at BillerudKorsnäs, Kvaerner Pulping and Stora Enso.
As previously announced, Laila Rogestedt will be leaving Södra in mid-2017.
Södra, with headquarters in Vaxjo, Sweden, produces market pulp, wood products and biofuels. The company operates three pulp mills in Sweden (Mörrum, Mönsterås and Värö.) with a total capacity of 1.6 million tonnes per year.
