Packaging Corp. of America Recognized for Safety Achievements

Paper industry safety "Perfect Plant" awards, recognizing facilities that had zero incidents in 2016, were given to 165 plants industrywide. Of that total, PCA received 24.

May 23, 2017 - Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) was recently recognized by the Fibre Box Association (FBA) and the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters (AICC) for 2016 safety achievements. The safety awards are based on the Corrugated Container Industry Annual Report of Occupational Injuries and Illnesses.

Awards are given in two categories. “Perfect Plant” awards, recognizing facilities that had zero incidents in 2016, were given to 165 plants industrywide. Of that total, PCA received 24. “Safety Excellence” awards are given to facilities with no lost workdays due to job-related injury or illness. The industry received 271 of these awards, 39 of which were given to PCA plants.
