Michael Doss of Graphic Packaging Recognized as ASPI 2017 Customer Executive of the Year

Feb. 3, 2017 - The Association of Suppliers for the Paper Industry (ASPI) announced that Michael P. Doss, President and Chief Executive Officer of Graphic Packaging Holding Company, has been recognized as the ASPI 2017 Customer Executive of the Year.
“Michael and Graphic Packaging exemplify what this award stands for; a history of success through strategy, hard work, and execution that includes highly functioning relationships with their suppliers,” said Keith Kemp, ASPI President and the Vice President, Global Sales – AstenJohnson Advanced Fabrics.
Doss was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Graphic Packaging Holding Company on January 1, 2016. Prior to that, Doss held the position of President and Chief Operating Officer since May of 2015. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in November 2013, taking responsibility for the company's global operations.
Doss has held positions of commercial and operational leadership during his 26-year career with Graphic Packaging, including Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations, and Senior Vice President for the company's Consumer Packaging Division.
Doss holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Marketing and a Master of Business Administration in Finance, both from Western Michigan University. He is also a graduate of Harvard University's General Manager Program.
The Customer Executive of the Year Award is the highest honor that ASPI can bestow on an individual. This award is presented annually to a customer executive who has worked diligently within his company, and with his company's suppliers, to dramatically increase the benefits to his company of its supplied goods and services. Nominations are accepted from ASPI member companies, and the ASPI Board of Directors votes on submitted nominations.
