Lecta Announces Price Hike for Coated Woodfree Papers

Nov. 11, 2015 - Southern Europe paper manufacturer Lecta announced that it will increase the price for its two-side Coated Woodfree (CWF) papers by 6-8%, according to product format and country.

Lecta said that the price hike is necessary to offset rising manufacturing costs.

The price increase will be effective for paper deliveries from January 2016.

Lecta sales teams will provide customers with specific information on how the price increase will be applied on a country by country basis, the company noted.

Lecta produces coated fine paper (about 1.1 million tonnes per year) and specialty papers (258,000 tpy finished products and 231,000 tpy of uncoated wood free and base paper).
