Orient Paper to Suspend Production Temporarily during IAAF World Championship Games in Beijing
Orient Paper is temporarily suspending its production of regular CMP, lightweight CMP, digital photo paper and offset printing paper from Aug. 20 - Sept. 4 in accordance with an mandate issued by the Baoding city government.
Aug. 24, 2015 - Orient Paper on Friday announced that it is temporarily suspending its production of regular CMP, lightweight CMP, digital photo paper and offset printing paper from August 20 to September 4, 2015, in accordance with an mandate issued by the Baoding city government.
In addition to paper manufacturing, the mandate suspends textile printing and dyeing, cement, mining, construction and chemical manufacturing. The purpose of the directive is to minimize air pollution during the International Association of Athletics Federations World Championship Games and the military parade commemorating the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II to be held in Beijing.
Industrial manufacturing activities in Beijing and its surrounding regions are occasionally subject to this type of suspensions during high profile events in Beijing, Orient Paper said.
The temporary suspension of production will not impact the company's tissue paper operations, which are located in the Economic Development Zone of Wei County, Hebei Province, outside Beijing.
Production of impacted products will resume on September 5, 2015.
