Verso President David Paterson to Speak at Paper Industry International Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
April 30, 2015 - The Paper Industry International Hall of Fame, Inc. (PIIHF) is pleased to announce David J. Paterson, President and CEO of Verso Corporation, will be the keynote speaker at the 21st annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on October 15, 2015. The event will be held at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton, Wisconsin, U.S.A.
With more than 30 years in the forest products industry, Paterson has served in a number of leadership roles. Immediately prior to being named president and CEO of Verso in May 2012, he served as president and CEO of Montreal-based Abitibi Bowater Inc. (now doing business as Resolute Forest Products). Previous roles include chairman, president and CEO of Bowater Inc., and executive vice president of Georgia-Pacific Corporation.
The 2015 Paper Industry International Hall of Fame inductees will be selected in May and announced in early June.
Nominations for candidates for induction into the Paper Industry International Hall of Fame are now being accepted. The deadline for submitting a completed nomination is March 31, 2015.
The PIIHF recognizes individuals who pioneered and/or helped the world’s paper and allied industries flourish. The Hall of Fame currently has 123 members from 15 countries.
