Kruger plans coated paper downtime at Trois-Rivières Mill
Jan. 31, 2007 – Kruger Inc. today said that it will idle coated paper production at its Trois-Rivières Mill in Québec, Canada from March 6 to 13. During the period, the mill will continue prodcution of newsprint and supercalendered grades.
The coated paper capacity reduction will amount to 3,800 metric tons, Kruger said
The comapny said the curtailment will allow it to re-balance its production in accordance with its order book.
The Trois-Rivières Mill has an annual capacity of 370,000 metric tons of newsprint, 125,000 metric tons of SC specialty papers, and 170,000 metric tons of light weight coated (LWC) paper.
