April 27, 2006 (Press Release) - Dr. Joseph D. Wright, President and CEO of Paprican, has announced his retirement, effective April 30, 2006. Over the next few months, Dr. Wright will be working in an advisory capacity with Paprican's Chairman of the Board, Mr. Frank Dottori, and with Paprican's Executive Management.

"It has been a privilege and an honour to serve as President and CEO of Paprican. I was attracted to this organization because of its world-class reputation for science and technology and, 12 years later, Paprican continues to be recognized for its world-class capabilities. The measured value returned on an annual basis to our Members is very substantial and constitutes, year after year, our greatest achievement. The energy and commitment of Paprican's staff is exemplary, and I would like to thank them all for their total support and dedication without which none of our achievements would have been possible," said Dr. Wright.

"The Board and I would like to thank Dr. Wright for his important contributions and leadership over the past twelve years. Our objective remains to ensure Paprican continues to play a leading role in the restructuring of Canada's Forest Products Industry," said Mr. Dottori.
