Aug. 7, 2020 - AMETEK Surface Vision announced the appointment of Volker Koelmel to the role of Global Manager – Plastics, Nonwovens & Paper. Responsible for the strategic management of these dynamic market segments, Volker will spearhead the development and implementation of new strategies to support Surface Vision's worldwide customer base. Koelmel has held the position of Global Applications Engineering Manager at AMETEK Surface Vision for the past three years. Prior to joining AMETEK Surface Vision, Koelmel spent 19 years at Cognex, where he held several roles of increasing responsibility, from Project Manager to Global Applications Engineering Manager within the Surface Inspection System division. Koelmel has extensive knowledge of the surface inspection industry from both an engineering and logistical perspective. His career in surface inspection began in 1993 as a Product Manager for Isys Surface Inspection Technology, Europe.
