Hergen Awarded Contract to Upgrade PM3 at Bragagnolo's Paper Mill in Brazil

Bragagnolo PM3 The upgrade project will increase paper quality as well as production on PM3 at Bragagnolo's paper mill in Brazil.

March 11, 2020 - Hergen announced that it has been hired by Bragagnolo to undertake a major upgrade of PM3 at the company paper mill in Santa Catarina, Brazil.

PM3 produces corrugated medium and testliner in basis weight ranges from 100 to 210 g/m2.

According to Hergen, the project will increase paper quality as well as production. Currently PM3 has the capacity to produce 150 tons per day. After the upgrade the machine's production capacity will increase to about 250 tons per day.

The scope of the upgrade includes: flat table extension, installation of a new couch suction roller, installation of 4 new drying cylinders (14 bar) in pre-drying, and installation of a new post-drying section with 12 drying cylinders (14 bar).
