Total U.S. Boxboard Monthly Production Decreased Five Percent in December 2019
The U.S. boxboard operating rate in December 2019 was 88.8 percent, down 4.0 points from December 2018 and down 1.5 points year-to-date.
Jan. 20, 2020 - The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released its December 2019 Boxboard Monthly Report. According to the report, total boxboard production in December decreased five percent compared to December 2018 and was down one percent when compared to the same 12 months of 2018. The boxboard operating rate was 88.8 percent, down 4.0 points from December 2018 and down 1.5 points year-to-date.
