Total U.S. Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Shipments Decreased 4.0 Percent in November 2019
Dec. 17, 2019 - The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released the November 2019 U.S. Packaging Papers & Specialty Packaging Monthly report. According to the report, total packaging papers & specialty packaging shipments in November decreased four percent compared to November 2018. They were down six percent when compared to the same 11 months of 2018. The operating rate was 84.0 percent, down 6.0 points from November 2018 and down 5.5 points year-to-date. Mill inventories at the end of November increased 6,000 short tons from the previous month and were down 7,000 short tons compared to November 2018.
