Rottneros Implements Organizational Changes for Increased Market and Productivity Focus
In conjunction with the introduction of the new organization, Kasper Skuthälla will assume the additional role of the Group's Sales and Business Development Director.
Nov. 30, 2017 – Swedish market pulp producer Rottneros announced the implementation of organizational changes involving group-wide sales and a site manager for each mill. At the same time, a group-wide safety function has been established, which becomes part of the Human Resource Department.
According to Rottneros, the purpose of the new organization is to create an increased focus within each sub-area.
"Through the new organization, the mills can focus wholeheartedly on productivity, quality, environment, costs and completion of Agenda 500. The common safety function also means that we will be able to get even more out of our high-priority safety work in the future, while it can be conducted in an efficient way," said Lennart Eberleh, President and CEO of Rottneros.
In conjunction with the introduction of the new organization, Kasper Skuthälla will assume the role of the Group's Sales and Business Development Director, in addition to his current position as Managing Director of Rottneros Packaging.
“The new sales organization will strengthen our market presence, continue to work on our niche strategy and take advantage of the common aspects of our different products,” Eberleh said. “With a background in various parts of the value chain, Kasper Skuthälla has excellent opportunities to do a very good job.”
Editor's note: In 2015, Rottneros initiated an investment program called Agenda 500 — a long-term industrial plan to increase the production capacity of the Group's two pulp mills through successive investments. The primary objective focused on the expansion of Rottneros' total capacity to reach a business volume of at least 460,000 tons of pulp annually, compared to the 345,000 tonnes produced in 2014.
Rottneros is an independent producer of market pulp. The Group comprises the parent company Rottneros AB and its subsidiaries Rottneros Bruk AB and Vallviks Bruk AB with operations involving the production and sale of market pulp. The Group also includes Rottneros Packaging AB, which manufactures fibre trays, and the wood procurement company SIA Rottneros Baltic in Latvia. To learn more, please visit: www.rottneros.com
