Stora Enso's CEO Jouko Karvinen to Retire from Company During 2014

Stora Enso's CEO Jouko Karvinen has expressed to Stora's Board of his desire to retire from his position during 2014.

April 23, 2014 - Stora Enso's Chief Executive Officer, Jouko Karvinen, has expressed to Stora's Board of Directors of his desire to retire from his position during 2014. He has served as the company's CEO for seven years.

“Jouko Karvinen initiated discussions with the Board of Directors late last year about his wish to retire from the Company during 2014," said Gunnar Brock, Stora Enso's Chairman."The Board regrets his decision and Jouko Karvinen will continue as CEO until a successor is found.”

Stora Enso's annual production capacity is 5.4 million tonnes of chemical pulp, 11.7 million tonnes of paper and board, 1.3 billion square metres of corrugated packaging, and 5.6 million cubic metres of sawn wood products, including 2.9 million cubic metres of value-added products.
