Samjung Pulp Co. Starts Up New Tissue Machine in South Korea

March 19, 2014 - Tissue machine manufacturer Toscotec said that Samjung Pulp Co. Ltd. recently started up a new Toscotec-supplied tissue machine.

The new production line was installed at the company's Pyeongtaeksi facility in South Korea.

According to Toscotec, the new crescent former machine features a single layer headbox, a large nip TT SuctionPressRoll-SPR1430 working at 120 kN/m, a TT SYD-12FT Steel Yankee Dryer and the Pope reel TT Reel-P.

Toscotec's scope of supply also included stock preparation high efficiency equipment, the Milltech thermal oil heated hood and Yankee steam & condensate system.

Engineering, erection supervision, training and start-up assistance were also part of the supply agreement, Toscotec said

The new machine has a design speed of 1700 mpm.
