European Shipments of Graphic Papers in December 2013 Up Slightly Over December 2012

Jan. 29, 2014 - EURO-GRAPH, the European Association of Graphic Paper Producers, published its December 2013 statistics of the European Graphic Papers Industry, which showed total shipments of graphic papers in December 2013 were up slightly 0.3% (8,000 tonnes) compared to December of 2012, but decreased by 265,000 tonnes over November 2013.

In December, total European shipments of Newsprint dipped 0.8% (6,000 tonnes) compared to December of 2012, and decreased 19,000 tonnes versus November 2013.

Total shipments of SC-Magazine paper in December decreased 1.7% (6,000 tonnes) compared to December of 2012, and fell by 9,000 tonnes versus November 2013.

Total Shipments of Coated Mechanical Reels were down 1.0% (6,000 tonnes) in December versus Decmber 2012, and decreased by 54,000 tonnes compared to November 2013.

Shipments of Uncoated Mechanical papers in December were up 5.8% (10,000 tonnes) over the same month in 2012, but fell by 23,000 tonnes versus November 2013.
