European Shipments of Graphic Papers Down 5.7% in November 2013

Dec. 9, 2013 - EURO-GRAPH, the European Association of Graphic Paper Producers, published its November 2013 statistics of the European Graphic Papers Industry, which showed total shipments of graphic papers in November 2013 were down 5.7% (194,000 tonnes) compared to November of last year, and decreased by 210,00 tonnes over October of this year.

In November, total European shipments of Newsprint fell 6.7% (56,000 tonnes) compared to November of 2012, and decreased 25,000 tonnes versus October of this year.

Total shipments of SC-Magazine paper in November decreased 8.1% (31,000 tonnes) compared to November of 2012, and fell 45,000 tonnes versus October of this year.

Total Shipments of Coated Mechanical Reels were down 9.9% (69,000 tonnes) in November versus November 2012, and decreased by 55,000 tonnes compared to October of this year.

Shipments of Uncoated Mechanical papers in November were up slightly 0.9% (2,000 tonnes) over the same month last year, but fell by 27,000 tonnes versus October.
