European Shipments of Graphic Papers Declined 4.2% in October

Dec. 9, 2013 - EURO-GRAPH, the European Association of Graphic Paper Producers, published its October 2013 statistics of the European Graphic Papers Industry, which showed total shipments of graphic papers in October 2013 declined 4.2% (150,000 tonnes) compared to October of last year, but increased by 220,00 tonnes over September of this year.

In October, total European shipments of Newsprint fell 9.3% (83,000 tonnes) compared to October of 2012, but increased 31,000 tonnes versus the previous month this year.

Total shipments of SC-Magazine paper in October decreased 2.1% (9,000 tonnes) compared to October of 2012, but rose 32,000 tonnes over September 2013.

Total Shipments of Coated Mechanical Reels were down 6.7% (49,000 tonnes) in October versus September 2012, but increased 48,000 tonnes compared to September.

Shipments of Uncoated Mechanical papers in October were up 10.1% (21,000 tonnes) over the same month last year, and up 16,000 tonnes over September.
