Fisher International to Utilize Recovered Paper Pricing from The Paper Stock Report

May 28, 2013 - Fisher International Inc., a worldwide pulp and paper consulting and information services firm, has begun to incorporate U.S. recovered paper price data compiled by The Paper Stock Report into its FisherSolve analytical database.

The Paper Stock Report has tracked national and regional recovered paper transaction prices at the mill buying and processing plant levels since 1992.

The FisherSolve database contains a complete description of every operating mill in the world that makes more than 50 tons per day. The database is built to allow analysis of companies, assets, grades, production, furnish, people, equipment, process controls, environmental processes, operating costs, overhead, financials, news and user data.

In addition to its mill asset database, Fisher models manufacturing cost for each product made on each machine, including the price of buying recovered paper and other fiber. Ken McEntee, publisher and editor of The Paper Stock Report and Rod Fisher, president of Fisher International, agreed to a collaboration through which the two companies will deliver recovered paper price information to paper industry professionals.

“We’ve built our databases to be scalable, making it possible to add layers of richness and depth,” Fisher said. “So this is a logical and easy fit.”

“FisherSolve is an invaluable industry tool and I’m pleased to contribute to it,” McEntee said.

The Paper Stock Report, published by McEntee Media Corporation, is published twice a month. Its news, recovered paper pricing data and market analysis also is available through Paper Recycling Online, at www.recycle.cc.
