RockTenn's Jim Porter Elected to World Containerboard Organisation's Board
Sept. 25, 2012 - The World Containerboard Organisation (WCO) in Brussels, Belgium announced that James B. Porter, III has been elected to the Board of Directors, effective Sept. 15.
Porter is President of RockTenn's Corrugated Packaging division and joins the WCO Board for a two-year term.
Michael Harwood, President of the WCO, made the announcement in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) during the SuperCorr Expo where Porter was a keynote speaker.
“We are indeed fortunate to have Jim Porter join the distinguished leadership on the WCO Board of Directors. His knowledge and active involvement in all aspects of the containerboard industry are respected and admired by producers and containerboard users around the world.
“Jim Porter is a tireless champion of this global industry and we are privileged to have his remarkable insight and input on the WCO Board,” Harwood said.
The World Containerboard Organisation, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, was founded in 2000 as an International Association with the purpose of promoting the collection and publication of statistics and other data within the Global Containerboard Industry, and to improve internal and external communications through services and activities that support and supplement those provided by National and Regional Trade Associations.
