Smurfit Kappa Group to Hike Price for Recycled Containerboard
July 25, 2012 - Smurfit Kappa Group (SKG) announced an EUR 100 per tonne price increase on recycled containerboard, effective Sept. 1, 2012, according to a report from Deutsche Bank (DB). SKG cited tight global supplies of kraft liner as one key driver. DB said that its global trade contacts — including prominent containerboard brokers — are confirming this situation.
