International Paper's Franklin, Virginia Mill Starts Fluff Pulp Production
July 10, 2012 - International Paper last week restarted its paper mill near Franklin as a fluff-pulp operation with 200 employees.
International Paper announced in May 2011 that it would reopen part of the plant to make fluff pulp, which is used in disposable diapers and hygiene products.
The company expects that most of the fluff pulp made at the plant will be exported.
