U.S. Kraft Paper Shipments Up in April, Boxboard Production Down
May, 21, 2012 - The American Forest & Paper Association's April 2012 Kraft Paper Sector Report said that total Kraft paper shipments were 134.7 thousand tons — an increase of 0.8% compared to April 2011. Total inventory for April was 72.3 thousand tons.
Total Bleached Kraft shipments were up over last April.
AF&PA's April 2012 U.S. Paperboard Report said that total boxboard production decreased by 2.4% compared to April 2011 and decreased 0.9% from last month.
Unbleached Kraft Folding production in April increased over the same month last year and increased compared to last month.
Total Solid Bleached Boxboard & Liner production decreased compared to April 2011 and decreased compared to last month.
The production of Recycled Folding decreased compared to April 2011 and decreased when compared to last month.
