Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe Earns Certification from Citizen for POS Thermal Grades

May 8, 2012 - Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe said that Citizen Systems Europe has certified its thermal paper for POS-printer Citizen CT-S801 and Citizen CT-S851.

The certification covers conventional and newly developed thermal paper without bisphenol-A and phenol, Mitsubishi said.

According to Mitsubishi, the certification includes all thermoscript thermal paper grades for “point of sales“ applications: F 5041, P 5045, P 5055, P 5046 and P 5047.

The last-mentioned papers were developed in 2010 and provide an alternative to traditional POS-grades because of the selected color developer. The main difference: thermal receipt printing paper grade P 5046 does not contain any bisphenol-A whereas P 5047 does not contain phenol, Mitsubishi noted.

Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe is a German subsidiary of Mitsubishi Paper Mills Ltd., Japan. Mitsubishi HiTec Paper Europe produces high-quality thermal papers (thermoscript), digital imaging papers (jetscript) and carbonless papers (giroform) at two locations: Bielefeld and Flensburg, Germany.
