White Birch to Take Newsprint, Directory Paper Production Downtime in Quebec

JUne 24, 2011 - White Birch Paper Company announced that it is halting production at its three Quebec, Canada mills during the last week in June.

The 3 mills are: Quebec City, Masson Angers, and Riviere de Loup.

Production of newsprint and directory will be reduced by roughly 12,000 metric tons, combined.

White Birch Paper is a manufacturer of high quality newsprint, directory and bulky paper and paperboard, with mills located in the United States and Canada. These mills produce more than 1.3 million tons of newsprint and directory paper with up to 50% recycled content.
