Gould Paper Expands Pulp Sales Division of Price & Pierce

April 4, 2011 - Gould Paper said that it is expanding the Pulp Sales division of Price & Pierce, a division of Gould that operates as an international sales agent and merchant of fine papers, pulp and packaging. materials.

“Expanding this division into continental Europe is an integral component of our overall growth strategy," said Harry E. Gould, Jr., president of Gould Paper. "With the expanded worldwide footprint provided by Gould and Japan Pulp and Paper, we have significantly increased our sources of supply throughout the world. With the stagnant commodity paper markets, further expansion into the pulp and chemical markets is a logical extension of our customary markets.”

Gould Paper also announced that Gunter Drischel has been appointed Managing Director of the Price & Pierce Fibers and Chemicals Division.

Gunter is a graduate of the University of Cooperative Education in Dresden, Germany and the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago. He has spent his entire career in the European paper markets with such well known companies as the IGEPA Group and Botnia. Prior to joining Price & Pierce, Gunter served as manager of the Fibers and Biomass business unit of Gratenau & Hesselbacher.

Founded in 1924 and headquartered in New York City, Gould Paper is one of North America’s largest distributors of printing and business papers.
