Bong Acquires Danish Envelope, Printing Company Ega Offset

Jan. 4, 2011 - Bong yesterday said that it has acquired all the shares in the Danish envelope and printing company Ega Offset in Aarhus, Denmark.

Through the acquisition, Bong acquires an envelope printing facility and becomes a major supplier of printed envelopes in Denmark through its Danish subsidiary Bong Bjornbak A/S.

Ega Offset is a family business specialising in printing and sales of envelopes with a turnover of about SEK 30 million. The company has 17 employees.

"With a presence in Jutland, the Bong sales organisation can provide an even better customer service than before in terms of both envelopes and ProPac, while the acquisition is in line with Bong’s overprinting strategy," said Bong's Nordic Manager Morgan Bosson.

Ega Offset will be consolidated as a subsidiary of the Bong Group as of January 2011.

Bong is the leading European provider of specialised packaging and envelope products and offers solutions for distribution and packaging of information, advertising materials and lightweight goods.
